Green office podcast sounds out low carbon workplaces

Press release

Published on 29.06.2011

Low carbon workplaces are put under the spotlight in the latest podcast at www.morganlovell.com/podcasts from green office design experts, Morgan Lovell.

The podcast is the latest in the Green Office series, produced bi-monthly by Morgan Lovell, where listeners can hear about the latest trends, technology and people in the world of green office design.

Morgan Lovell podcast presenter Paul Kelly talks with guest Katharine Deas, managing director of Low Carbon Workplace Ltd, who defines a low carbon workplace and gives advice on how businesses can ‘wipe through the greenwash’ when it comes to reducing their carbon impact.

Katharine then goes on to explain how businesses can adopt an end-to-end approach to carbon management to achieve long-term energy reduction in their buildings.

Katharine says: “Occupiers are looking for low carbon buildings, then discovering that those buildings are not performing as they expected.”

“We have lots of good design in buildings, but that good design and good intention leaks away through the process.

“You have to make it a strategic priority in today’s environment because business credentials are green credentials.”

Paul Kelly, podcast presenter, says: “It’s great to have a guest on our podcast who has such a deep knowledge of carbon reduction in buildings. Katharine has the ability to cut through and get to the heart of the issue.”
