Podcast explores the ‘green intelligent office’
Press release
Published on 12.08.2011
A building that is connected to the internet, which ‘recognises’ you when you arrive, with automatic lighting, temperature controls and ‘smart’ meeting rooms are just some of the technologies under the spotlight in a recently released Green Office podcast.
The podcast is the latest in the Green Office series, produced bi-monthly by Morgan Lovell, where listeners can hear about the latest trends, technology and people in the world of green office design.
Morgan Lovell podcast presenter Paul Kelly talks with guest George Bartley, managing director of Building Sustainability, who defines a ‘green intelligent office’ and describes how the internet is changing the way we manage energy in today’s buildings.
George then goes on to explain the benefits of green intelligent buildings and how they lead to energy savings and happier office workers.
George says: “People in buildings like to have the optimal working environment which they can control. A green intelligent building enables staff to take responsibility for energy use leading to a reduction in wasted energy and significant cost savings.”
Paul Kelly, podcast presenter, says: “It’s fascinating to hear how the internet is changing the way we manage our offices. Through his work, George has been on the cutting edge of this technology for a long time. It’s great to have him as a guest on The Green Office.”
