Case Study: Davis Langdon

Blending old and new
Davis Langdon occupies a grade II listed building, and a 1970s extension. Davis Langdon asked us to design for them a new environment that would complement the two styles of building, especially emphasising more traditional features.
The Morgan Lovell approach
We worked closely with Davis Langdon to refine their design plans and provide a solution in keeping with the building's constraints. For example, we complemented original plasterwork on ceilings and cornices with special feature lighting. In the extension area, we took a modern open plan approach, providing IT and power requirements through raised access floors. We used innovative construction methods to save both time and money, including abseiling down the outside of the building to install ventilation grilles to avoid mounting traditional scaffolding.
An office transformed
By harmonising old and new, and giving each office area its own individual feel, Davis Langdon now have a modern, coordinated workspace that reflects their corporate identity throughout.
