Birmingham school of acting wanted an unusual space to help them stand out from all the other schools across the country. They needed somewhere which would inspire their creativity, and reflect all the exciting work they do.
So we turned their building inside out: images of the school's past productions feature on the outside, while inside, a red brick road leads visitors from the reception into the building. In the corridors, we left the pipes exposed, and in the large open spaces reflective surfaces give the building a stylish, industrial feel.
Staff are particularly pleased with their open plan work areas, while the students have described the new environment as 'fantastic'.
