Over the years we've encouraged all kinds of companies to make their offices more sustainable. So when the managing director of our own central office in Birmingham decided to move his team to a new building, it was time to practise what we preach.
The design team set about sourcing office furniture and materials which were stylish, but at the same time environmentally friendly. They used paint which is low in harmful chemicals, smart lighting which turns off when there’s no one around, recycled plastic for the kitchen worktops, and sustainable wood floors for the new coffee cafe area.
