Case Study: British Computer Society

The setting

The British Computer Society, planning ahead for company growth and lease expiry, wanted us to refit their office space, reception and training rooms, and install state-of-the-art IT, audiovisual and catering facilities. In competition with 4 others, we won the brief on the strength of our preparation work, our illustrations and artist impressions, enabling BCS to really see our ideas brought to life.

A consultative approach

BCS were very excited about design and got involved in what became a truly consultative process. The result is exactly the space they wanted. A space that really gets used a lot. We worked together very closely. We suggested ideas, BCS suggested ideas, and we responded. BCS thought it a misconception that meeting rooms need windows, so we took that on board and designed around it. "We could not have asked to work with better designers. They tuned into our desires, answered everything we asked for and never said 'no' to anything."

An office transformed, a client very happy

BCS love their new open space, their disabled access, their curved tea points and their 'touch down' space. Our quality of workmanship and wireless audiovisual systems won gold stars too.
