Newcastle office fit out currently taking place

An office fit out in Newcastle is currently being undertaken by design specialist Morgan Lovell, it has emerged.

The project is being carried out for multinational financial services firm GE Money and will see an office layout of some 100,000 sq ft created, according to UK Trade & Investment.

Due to be located in north Tyneside, the scheme will see the business' workforce nearly double as call centre facilities are expanded.

Rob Willis, human resources director at the company, attributes the success of the existing Newcastle site to the enthusiasm and dedication of its staff.

Chief executive of the firm Stewart Macphail explains: "This multi-million pound investment represents the biggest investment in property GE Money has ever made ... The new development will create over 400 new jobs - taking our local workforce to over 800 people."

With offices in London, the Thames Valley and Birmingham, Morgan Lovell is able to deliver whole projects with the advantage of only one point of contact for clients.
