Newsletters - Issue 09
In every issue of Inspired, we try to offer you ideas to transform the way that you work. This issue, we want to help you transform the environment, too. Issue number 9 is all about going sustainable. Be inspired.
Morgan Lovell has launched a new, end-to-end sustainable office design and fit out service, making it simple and cost effective for both private and public sector organisations to create energy efficient, low carbon offices to help combat climate change.
The service begins with consultancy. Morgan Lovell's in-house environmental experts will use surveys and appraisals to work out exactly what needs to be done to bring your office up to government guidelines and other recognised ratings systems.
Sustainability is built into the designs - maximising natural light and air, minimising energy use and sourcing sustainable materials, furniture and fittings. The entire fit out can be CarbonNeutral®, and materials are sorted for recycling on site.

Going sustainable: our checklist to get you started
Not sure where to start? We've put together a sustainable office design checklist to show you, step-by-step, each of the different things to consider when creating a sustainable office.
The checklist tells you what you need to think about before work begins, during the design, during the build – and even for years after you've moved in. It takes you through everything from being clear about your vision and writing up a brief, to choosing the right furniture, fixtures and fittings and ensuring environmental best practice on site.
The checklist can help you make sure no important issues or details get overlooked. It's designed to help you do everything from assessing your office, to checking your contractors' credentials.

Going sustainable: our white paper on why it's worth it
A sustainable office isn't just good for the planet, it's good for business. The immediate and long-term benefits far outweigh the costs. Could you be better off with a sustainable office interior too?
Our white paper on sustainability gives you all the background information you need to make up your mind. What is it that makes an office 'sustainable', exactly? What things should you look for, and what are the benefits?
The white paper explains all of the major issues clearly, giving definitions, explanations and supporting facts and figures from the latest independent research. It gives you a good grounding on the basic principles involved, as well as specific examples of changes you can make.
