Plans have been unveiled for the development of a new £160 million office building in Cardiff.
Callaghan Square is to become the largest office estate in the city and will create 500,000 sq ft of modern office interior space, which is to be spread out over six new towers.
Council officials gave consent to the development which is to take place on a brownfield site in Butetown.
However, councillor Richard Foley commented: "We have really missed the boat here. This is a site where we could have had a real statement of a building, it is the full stop to St Mary Street."
Elsewhere in the city, global accountancy firm Deloitte recently announced that it is to move its head office to 5 Callaghan Square.
The office relocation will see the company take up 54,000 sq ft of office interior space and will act as a base for expansion for the firm.
