£8m office construction set for Lancashire

A new £8 million office project has been put forward in Lancashire.

The construction of new offices ranging from 750 to 6,000 sq ft is set to go ahead at the end of August at a site just south of Preston.

Situated opposite the South Preston Office Village, the development will see multiple office interiors erected to create up to 200 construction jobs in the area, in addition to 11 industrial units that will offer approximately a further 80 jobs.

A spokesperson for the contractor stated: "The ... office houses around 300 workers and there is scope for up to three more offices of that size on site, providing the demand is there as we expect it to be."

Elsewhere, utilities provider E.ON recently announced it is moving into new office premises in Nottingham.

The company is set to move into the former City Council Treasury Building, located on the corner of Burton Street in Nottingham City Centre.
