Admiral announces new HQ in Cardiff

UK motor insurance provider Admiral has announced plans to move to a new headquarters in Cardiff.

The firm is set to be involved in an office construction project that will see it move into a new 11-storey premises between the St David's centre and Cardiff International Arena.

Huw Llewellyn, head of facilities for Admiral, said: "We started the process of looking for a new headquarters two years ago.

"The final decision was difficult to make because we narrowed it down to two very strong candidates in the Stoford and Rightacres/Rapport proposals."

The company has now settled on Stoford and hopes to move into its new 220,000 sq ft home by January 2014.

Meanwhile, international shipping firm ICL Agencies UK recently announced the expansion of its offices in Liverpool at Burlington House.

The company is increasing the floor space of its premises from 3,000 to almost 5,000 sq ft.
