Insurance provider Aon has completed an office relocation to new premises at 40 Spring Gardens in Manchester.

Aon has taken on 17,280 sq ft of office space at the premises and the firm was advised on the deal by CB Richard Ellis (CBRE), the Business Desk reports.

Following the completion of this deal, one floor of the property now remains available for lettings. The property was recently purchased by Climate Change Capital in a deal believed to be worth around £45 million.

John Ogden, managing director of CBRE Manchester, said: "Aon has acquired a first class building in relocating to one of Manchester's best business addresses and has dramatically improved its operational efficiencies."

Elsewhere in the city, bank and asset management firm Investec is now set to move to new premises at 3 Hardman Square in Manchester's Spinningfields development.

Property Week reported that the firm is moving from its present offices on King Street and hopes to have the relocation completed by December.
