Arkwright House in Manchester city centre is to undergo a dramatic office refurbishment process following approval of plans by the local council.
Crain's Manchester Business has reported that Wrather Group has secured approval to provide 14,000 sq ft of modern office interior space at the building, with the project due to be completed by October this year.
Once finished, the company is hoping to achieve annual rental income of £23.50 per sq ft.
David Laws, of Edwards & Co - acting agent on the building - told the publication: "It is an important part of Manchester's heritage and we believe the refurbishment project will offer occupiers a high quality office environment in one of the city's prime locations."
Elsewhere in the city, the newspaper recently reported that Edwards & Co has secured two new lettings at Trafford House, on Chester Road.
Voluntary youth sector organisation Rathbone Training and property regeneration company GM Procure have taken up 3,000 and 3,060 sq ft of office interior space at the site respectively.
