Asda opens second Leeds office

Supermarket giant Asda has opened its second office in Leeds, it has been revealed.

The retailer has taken on 38,000 sq ft of grade A office interior space at The Mint building in Holbeck Urban Village and will be basing approximately 250 members of staff at the premises when they open later this year.

Chief executive Andy Clarke said: "We are proud to be a Leeds business born and bred and this expansion of our space is further evidence of our commitment to the city."

Elsewhere in Leeds, City House has is set to undergo a dramatic sustainable office design makeover in the coming months that will see 12,000 sq ft of space undergoing office refurb work.

Head of sales and development at the property Craig Burrow said the cost of moving into the property once the work has been completed could be much lower for tenants than other new properties.
