Ashtead to move to Manchester office

Ashtead Plant Hire is to move to a new office interior in Manchester, it has been reported.

Crain's Manchester Business notes that the firm has been working with Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) to secure a new 30,000 sq ft office design in Sharston, Manchester and is also working on a 6,000 sq ft letting in Egreton in Cumbria.

The firm is also currently renting a 10,000 sq ft office interior in Leyland, Preston.

Further to this, LSH has also secured other office rentals for the company in Hull, Coventry, Southampton and Oxford.

Elsewhere in the region, a storage firm has opened its fifth office design in Preston.

Smart Move set up the new £400,000, 13,000 sq ft unit as part of plans to expand outside of its current market which is mainly focused on the Merseyside area.

Managing director Jon Wyles told the Lancashire Evening Post that in the current economic climate many people are still using self-storage options to de-clutter their homes and keep valuables safe.
