The BBC Trust has spent £3.2 million on refurbing and moving to a new office in BBC Broadcasting House.
Owned by Google, the Edwardian mansion received £1 million in investment from the trust for the office refurbishment and relocation programme, with 60 staff moving into the premises approximately one month ago.
It spent a further £2.2 million on an eight-year lease for the property.
A spokeswoman for the trust commented: "The trust's current office in Great Portland Street was chosen on the basis that it offered the best value for money of all the options considered and we have reused and recycled existing office furniture and equipment in the fit out."
Elsewhere, an office construction project has been completed at Two Kingdom Street in Paddington.
The ten-acre site was purchased in 1999 and was formerly used as Paddington Goods Yard. However, office space at the new site totals 230,000 sq ft, while the property also provides 22,000 sq ft of studio space.
