Birmingham's iconic office interior building The Mailbox has been put up for sale by its owners.

Commercial agents CB Richard Ellis and GVA Grimley will be marketing the property, which has been valued at approximately £150 million.

The building will hopefully achieve its asking price when it officially comes on the market in the new year, the company stated.

"As the UK's largest mixed use building, The Mailbox is a significant landmark for Birmingham and has been a catalyst for further regeneration of the area," property owner Alan Chatham commented.

Mr Chatham added that the group is hoping for an excellent price for the property given the high demand for office space in the city at present.

Elsewhere, a new report from Cushman & Wakefield has shown there is high demand for office space in Birmingham.

According to the findings, there is an abundance of mid-range office interiors but very little at the top end of the market.
