Stride Treglown has opened its new Cardiff office that has received one of the highest BREEAM scores in the history of the accreditation.

It scored an Outstanding result of 89.12 per cent for its sustainable office design and environmental features. It also has a grade A Energy Performance Certificate and recently won the Best Office Architecture, Green IT and Environmental Project of the Year awards at the UK Property Awards last November.

Gareth Davies, director at Stride Treglown and head of the Cardiff office, said: "The building can be managed in such a way that we as a company can continually evaluate our carbon reduction and energy usage throughout the life of the building, making improvements as technologies develop."

Meanwhile, West Dorset District Council recently announced it is on the lookout for new green office space.

Officials at the council are aiming to reduce the carbon output of the organisation by 30 per cent by 2020 and are therefore keen to move to new premises that can provide significant carbon savings in the near future.
