Office refurbishment specialist Morgan Lovell has become the first UK organisation to be accredited for its environmental awareness by the BSI.
The company has been awarded BSI's new energy management systems standard after installing a range of sustainable office design measures at its head offices in London.
Features include the fitting of smart meters to monitor power use, the installation of auto-power-down technology for computers and ensuring staff are made aware of the need for greater environmental awareness and energy efficiency in the workplace.
"As well as cutting costs, improving our building's energy performance has offered a range of tangible benefits, including preparing for the mandatory CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme," David Henderson, managing director of the office fit-out company, commented.
Morgan Lovell specialises in the design and refurbishment of sustainable office space and works to the highest standards in ensuring its designs meet a range of criteria in terms of delivering environmentally-conscious office space.
