Building services database online
Office design news from Morgan Lovell
Published on 19-08-2011
A new online database of building services records has been launched, replacing the existing CD resource, which should prove useful for firms involved in office design and space planning.
The searchable service, free to members of the Building Services Research and Information Association, provides information on any Act or Regulation relating to the construction industry.
Details go as far as describing the impact of legislation on building services, as well as identifying the relevant authority which enforces the rules: perfect for that all-round office fit out.
Extra guidance on compliance is also provided for those concerned with facilities management.
Database users need only enter a keyword and all linked data will appear on the screen.
Annual subscriptions are available, which also give the user a copy of the association’s notes on all the guidance. Non-members of the association will be charged £100 for a year’s use, although this will be just £75 for those who subscribe before September 30.
