Grays town centre has become the home to a new business centre, which will provide office space and support to local firms.
The Thurrock Gazette reported that enterprise agency NWES has officially opened the Thurrock Centre for Business and hopes the venture will help to create jobs in the region and spur economic growth.
John Balch, strategic director at NWES, told the newspaper: "Thurrock Centre for Business will provide local people with local business support, as well as provide office space with 'easy-in, easy-out' tenancy terms."
Meanwhile, a new office development in nearby Cricklewood has been given planning approval and the £4.5 billion office construction project will see the delivery of up to four million sq ft of new office space.
Brent Cross Cricklewood Development Partners has invested £964 million into the 20-year project, while the remainder of the funds have been put up by joint venture partners Hammerson and Standard Life Investments.
