Business park to expand office layout
20-03-2008
Wynyard Business Park is to undergo a massive expansion project in a £450 million investment scheme which could create 10,000 jobs, according to nebusiness.co.uk.This long term project has been approved by Hartlepool Council and envisages the creation of an office layout of around three million square feet over the next two decades.
Chris Musgrave, the chief executive of Wynyard Park, commented: "We are committed to creating a world class business park at Wynyard Park, which will bring significant benefits to the area."
Wynyard's £15 million first stage of development and office design is due to start this month and will continue to the end of the year.
The business park in Teesside was left reeling in 2004 after Samsung's departure from the site. However, after the park was purchased by businessman Chris Musgrave, subsequent investments helped Wynyard to thrive.
Freedom Direct, an internet holiday company, is poised to employ 30 new staff within the next three months.
