Property developer Capella Group has unveiled plans to create a new £90 million office development in Glasgow.
The project will entail the creation of two new premium office towers plus a business centre, which when finished will offer in excess of 200,000 sq ft of grade A office interior space.
Furthermore, the firm claimed that if the development is given the go ahead then it could create up to 2,000 new jobs in the area.
Jim Fitzsimmons, chief executive officer of Capella, commented: "We believe the city is far better placed than most other UK cities to quickly come out of the current downturn and believe that there will be significant take up of office space this year."
Meanwhile, Scotland's national sports agency Sportscotland recently announced that it is to relocate its head office from Edinburgh to Glasgow.
The organisation plans to move to the new National Indoor Sports Arena and Velodrome, which it hopes to be fully completed in 2011.
