Carbon neutral offices 'can clear the credit crunch'

Becoming carbon neutral could be the key to avoiding the credit crunch for many offices, in light of reports from the East Anglian Daily Times.
The publication explains that a new Essex development at the apex of the A12 and A120 is using eco-friendliness as a cost-cutting measure.
Heat recovery ventilation systems aim to reduce expenditure on energy by retaining warm air within the structure.
This is supplemented by climate-controlled air conditioning and heating installations.
And high-tech glazing helps to improve the energy efficiency of the office interiors by controlling solar gain and heat loss via the windows.
Such elements could seem like design features to be included in other offices which are aiming to be carbon neutral.
Despite fears of the credit crunch, it seems Suffolk businesses could have more money to spend on office refits in the coming months.
The recent Grant Thornton Suffolk Ltd report detected profit increases of 23 per cent among the region's top 100 firms this year.
