Co-operative Group has unveiled plans to build its new 16-storey headquarters in the heart of Manchester.
The office interior plans have been put forward for council approval, which is due to be announced in July. If successful, the plans will outline the development of a new landmark property on Miller Street, which will benefit from modern office design and a number of sustainable design features.
Co-op Group chief executive Peter Marks said: "The Co-operative Group was born and raised in Manchester.
"Our decision to build our new headquarters here is another clear sign of the renaissance of our business and our confidence in the future."
Elsewhere in the city, One First Street in Manchester centre was recently awarded a BREEAM rating of Excellent for its sustainable design features.
Building owner Ask Developments completed the office interior complex last year which presently offers 178,500 sq ft of modern office space at the site, Crain's Manchester Business reported.
