Contemporary office design 'is more than glass boxes'

A new development in Birmingham proves that contemporary office design consists of more than just glass boxes, reports the Birmingham Post.
The regional news publication reports councillor Ian Ward's view on an £81 million scheme to construct a new courts building in the city.
Plans for the structure portray a contemporary office design with curved edges, rather than corners.
Council regeneration director Clive Dutton tells the news provider: "The courts building will be a really special addition to the city and represents another confidence booster in difficult times.
"It can be added to the £6 billion of investment in Birmingham which is pending or already taking place."
Property Executive recently reported that an office refit elsewhere in Birmingham has been given the go-ahead.
The project at No 1 Snow Hill Plaza is aiming for top levels of sustainability under the terms of the ecologically aware certification scheme, the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method.
