Cornwall office redevelopments get underway

Work has begun on developing office interiors in locations across Cornwall, it has been revealed.

Construction on the office facilities aims to provide a ’one-stop shop’ services to residents and come in preparation as councils throughout the south-west county prepare to be replaced by a single unitary authority in April, This is Cornwall reports.

Ann Kerridge, chair of the Implementation Executive customer first sub-group, points out that work on the new office design has been a collaborative effort.

She said: “We have asked councillors and customer service staff from across all seven councils what they thought about our plans and have used their feedback to change our designs.”

Overall, there will be 22 such office facilities throughout Cornwall - in locations including Newquay, Bude, Truro and Penzance - allowing people to get information about any matters in relation to the new council.

Last month, it was revealed that Morgan Sindell's subsidiary Muse has successfully tendered a new office development in Swindon.
