Demand for UK office interior space is set to take a significant upswing in the coming years, one sector expert has stated.
Richard Kauntze, chief executive officer of the British Council for Offices, said while the recession has taken the edge off the market in recent years, the UK office sector is already showing signs of regaining its strength and this is good news for the UK economy as a whole.
He commented: "The office market is already bouncing back and I think we will see that continue to strengthen and grow over the next month and year."
Meanwhile, Dan Ilett, editor in chief of Greenbang.com, recently argued more incentives are needed to urge companies to embrace sustainable office design and to drive forward green practices in the workplace.
He claimed that a shift in sustainability is reliant on the government putting more emphasis on this area and making it easier and more affordable for companies to clean up their acts.
