The modern office design market in Edinburgh has picked up over the last quarter, new figures have shown.
Research carried out by Jones Lang LaSalle has revealed that office interior uptake rose by 39 per cent in the second quarter of this year, with new occupancy exceeding 156,000 sq ft of modern office design space.
In addition, the three-month period saw six deals where office interior uptake totalled more than 10,000 sq ft, the firm noted.
Ben Reed, director of Jones Lang LaSalle, said: "These figures are a welcome boost to the market and it is particularly pleasing to see a broader spread of activity across the city centre, but also west Edinburgh, where we have seen occupiers such as Business Stream relocating on to Edinburgh Park."
Elsewhere in the city, mobile mapping and workflow systems supplier Sigma Seven recently announced office refurbishment plans which will see it lease an additional 600 sq ft of modern office design space at Edinburgh Technopole.
