03-12-2008
A sustainable office design in the Scottish capital has been praised, it has been revealed.Edinburgh Park's flagship office building has been given an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of B for its energy-efficiency, the Edinburgh Evening News reports.
Pamela Grant, development director for New Edinburgh Limited, developers of the facility, told the publication: "Sustainability is a top priority at Edinburgh Park."
The office is located at 7 Lochside View.
Furthermore, the resource points out that an EPC is displayed in order to show a building's approximate energy usage and the level of carbon dioxide emissions it produces over the course of a year.
In other news, it was revealed last month that Scottish & Newcastle is set to sell off its Edinburgh office space, after the brewer was taken over by Carlsberg and Heineken earlier in 2008, the Scotsman reported.
Providing around 250,000 sq ft in office interiors, it was stated that the development has been laying vacant since August 2008.
