Edinburgh office rents 'could fall'

Rent prices for office space in Edinburgh are likely to drop, experts have suggested.
The Scottish capital is still the second most expensive UK city to rent an office, with an average cost of £316 per workstation. This represents an increase of 25% within one year. London is the only city where office space is even more expensive.
However, research website officebroker.com said that Tesco will soon move into permanent accommodation after a major office refurbishment, meaning that prices are probably going to fall as thousands of new workstations will become available.
Chris Meredith, head of sales for the website, said: "Supply had previously been limited within the city centre, primarily due to the 4,000 workstations occupied by Tesco while they were waiting for their new permanent office to be completed.
"The result of this change is a large amount of high quality space."
