Renewable energy business Enfinity has moved into new office space in Liverpool as part of the Hello Northwest programme run by the Northwest Regional Development Agency, the Mersey Partnership and MIDAS.

The firm has taken on office interior space at the Plaza in Liverpool as it looks to strengthen its position in the UK and European markets to establish options for its photovoltaic and onshore wind businesses.

Patrick Decuyper, co-founder and chief executive officer of Enfinity Europe, said: "Liverpool ticked all the right boxes for our business needs. [The city] offers us a high-quality skill set, excellent transport links, access to business expertise and exceptional value for money."

Elsewhere in Merseyside, call centre business The Contact Company recently announced the purchase of 30,000 sq ft of office interior space at the Queensgate building in Birkenhead.

The firm plans to move 120 employees into the six-storey premises in the near future and will also be looking to recruit a further 250 members of staff.
