Entrepreneur sets up Manchester office

The Double Glazing and Conservatory Ombudsman Scheme (DGCOS) has been set up by entrepreneur Tony Pickup and is to open a new office in Manchester.
Nick Ross has been recruited as a spokesperson for the organisation and it is now undergoing a concerted push to sign up businesses to its accreditation scheme.
"Rogue traders have done serious harm to the reputation of the industry, so restoring confidence is important not just for consumers but for all good contractors. DGCOS can help rebuild trust and mark out the good guys from the cowboys," commented Mr Pickup.
DGCOS is a scheme that provides peace of mind for individuals who are planning to pay tradesmen to install double glazing or a conservatory at their property.
The organisation has stated that any company which has DGCOS backing will guarantee deposit protection, accredited installers, access to free advice and a minimum ten-year lifespan for their purchase.
It will have its headquarters in Manchester, but is also planning to open a second office in Chorley.
