Energy company E.ON has announced plans to move into new head offices in Nottingham.
The property at Guildhall has been awarded a BREEAM rating of Excellent and will take up residence in the nine-storey building once a comprehensive refit of the site has been carried out.
David Bird, customer service director for E.ON's retail business, said: "Following a pretty lengthy search, we're delighted to have secured a suitable location for our Nottingham city centre teams. Subject to planning approval, the building will be fitted out and ready for us to move into by June 2012."
E.ON presently provides energy services to eight million households across the UK and was founded in February 1988. It currently employs approximately 16,000 people in the UK, but has more than 88,000 employees worldwide.
It is also a key player in the move towards green energy production in Britain, operating 21 wind farms across the country and creating two biomass powerplants.
