Utilities provider E.ON has secured 105,000 sq ft of grade A office space in Nottingham as part of a pre-letting agreement.
The company is to move into the former City Council Treasury Building, located on the corner of Burton Street in Nottingham City Centre.
As of the end of next month, the property will be vacated by Nottingham council, as it is moving into new premises at Loxley House.
Matthew Smith, partner at King Sturge, commented: "This is another landmark office deal for Nottingham, it is one of the largest lettings ever in the city and sets a record rent level."
Specifications for the office relocation will help to deliver Nottingham's first Excellent rated BREEAM development, with E.ON pledging to reduce carbon emissions at the site during their stay.
Overall, E.ON employs approximately 17,000 people in the UK and more than 93,000 worldwide. The firm offers home energy services, as well as boiler and central heating repairs and maintenance.
