Flood improvements "a sensible option"
Office design news from Morgan Lovell

Flood improvements would be a "sensible option" for individuals renting office interiors, it has been suggested.
Graeme Trudgill, technical and corporate affairs executive for the British Insurance Brokers' Association, has said that anything which the government can do to improve Britain's flood defences should be considered.
He said: "Free flood surveys for the most high-risk properties is something that we wanted and is certainly something that the government can do to help people in a flood zone area."
Mr Trudgill added he believes the government should make it compulsory that resilient repairs be carried out on damaged properties.
Furthermore, he stated that VAT-exemption for all flood repair work should come into force.
According to the Association of British Insurers, in last year's summer floods up to 180,000 claims were made because of water damage to property. It noted that in total over £3 billion in compensation was paid out by insurers.
