A former pump house in Formby could be transformed into an office development if proposals are accepted.
Sefton Council is considering plans to renovate the old building into an office layout for firms to set up base after they were put forward by local businessman Mike McComb, according to Champion Newspapers.
Ideas for the development have been submitted with consideration to the location of the site on Formby's protected land.
"Proposals are designed to minimise the visual impact on the greenbelt whilst improving the appearance of the building from the nearby public footpath routes," the report of the plans said.
They also stated that developers will adhere to planning restrictions and suggest only a 'modest extension' to the building.
Rodney House in Nottingham is also set to be transformed into offices when work gets underway, with Helen Longstaffe, director of business space at DTZ, saying it represents a "great opportunity" for the area.
