A deal has been agreed in Greater Manchester between Segro and consumer goods supply company Fowler Welch Coolchain.
The firm has just acquired the hub at the Heywood Distribution Park, which could mean that it soon begins to look into interior office design in the north.
Up to 500,000 sq ft of work space is available at the location and the agreement was overseen by commercial property investment company King Sturge.
David Inglis from Fowler Welch Coolchain said the move will allow the company to consolidate its business space "from Stockport and Heywood Distribution Park into one well-located site, enabling us to further grow our ambient business and provide a temperature-controlled facility in the north-west".
His firm works with supermarkets, food producers and growers and this new hub will replace its existing 101,000 sq ft space, while also helping to create jobs for the local economy.
The company employs more than 1,100 people and has over 700 trailers with specialist equipment.
