Start-up businesses in Norwich are being offered a year's worth of free office space to help them during the current financial crisis.
Norfolk Charitable Trust is offering young entrepreneurs the chance to move out of their back-bedrooms and into prime office interior space.
The organisation claims that this without this help, companies could spend up to £15,000 for a year's rent.
Laura Foster, head of the Norfolk Charitable Trust, said: "Very often, initial overheads are too high for these small companies to survive and particularly in today's tough economic climate, we want to help new enterprises get off to a sustainable start."
Meanwhile, London mayor Boris Johnson recently unveiled his new initiative to attract foreign businesses to the capital.
He has offered to provide rent-free accommodation up to 150,000 sq ft for firms looking to set new offices.
Richard Kauntze, chief executive of the British Council for Offices, recently praised the scheme and noted that it would help London maintain its position as one of the premier cities in which to do business around the world.
