European event crewing company Gallowglass has achieved a 40 per cent reduction in its carbon emissions over the last 18 months and its London headquarters are now carbon neutral, it has been revealed.
The firm has embraced sustainable office design and following its first independent carbon audit, the company was revealed have reduced its carbon output by 44.4 per cent since July 2007.
Gallowglass managing director Nick Grecian told Event Magazine: "We are delighted that our carbon management programme has produced such an impressive saving and we've thanked all of our staff for getting behind the initiative with such enthusiasm."
Meanwhile, Clive Bull, partner of Cushman & Wakefield, recently noted the uptake of more sustainable building methods will be spurred on by customer demand for greener industries and products.
He argued that as the UK comes out of recession, there will be a renewed push for businesses to go green.
