Greater Manchester Police Authority (GMPA) has announced that it is to relocate its headquarters to a new modern office interior.
The authority is to take up residence in 240,000 sq ft of grade A office interior space at Ask & Goodman's Central Park development.
In total, GMPA is to relocate more than 1,000 members of staff to the new site, which takes up more than six acres and will be one of the largest deals seen in the Manchester office market so far this year.
"The authority is extremely proud of what this deal represents - significant investment in north-east Manchester for the benefit of the whole of Greater Manchester," GMPA chairman councillor Paul Murphy commented.
Furthermore, research carried out by lettings agent DTZ recently showed that businesses in Manchester could be receiving some of the most favourable office rates in Europe.
Figures by the company revealed that on average businesses renting space in the north-west city spend 12 per cent annual turnover on accommodation, compared to the UK average of 15 per cent.
