A £2 million office refurbishment project carried out at Dorking Business Centre has focused on sustainability a key tenet.
David Prior, manager of the facility, told Office Broker that the lighting at the site was replaced with low-energy systems and the air conditioning was updated. Recycling was also stepped up and the business centre plans to have a 100 per cent recycling service in place for each office by 2011.
Furthermore, an open layout for the building was decided upon to help instil a sense of space.
Mr Prior commented: "We built it leaving large communal areas available to our clients so they have a comfortable and professional environment."
Meanwhile, Ocean House in Didsbury has also undergone a recent office refurbishment costing £1.5 million, with the property's owner Wereldhave redeveloping 36,585 sq ft of office space, Place North West reported.
