Companies interested in embracing sustainable office design might wish to go along to this year's Greenbuild Expo which is currently taking place in Manchester.
Housed at Manchester Central - a building which is itself currently undergoing green refurbishment - the event started yesterday (June 17th) and finishes this weekend.
More than 50 exhibitors filled the exhibition space at the centre, with representatives from all areas of sustainable design being present - from the Centre for Alternative Technology, through to EcoSkies and the Department of Communities and Local Government.
Steve Oxley, deputy editor at sustain magazine, commented that many of the attendees of the event are "very interested in sustainability and environmental issues".
Meanwhile, Liz Peace, chief executive of the British Property Federation, recently urged the government to put sustainable office design high on its agenda in order to help industry become more environmentally aware and responsible during the economic downturn.
