An office building in Greenwich has been let to the Department for Transport prior to its completion.
Green Building Press reported 14 Pier Walk is a seven-storey, 18,000 sq m modern office design structure and was designed and created by property specialist Hilson Moran.
The building achieved a BREEAM rating of Excellent and encapsulates a number of sustainable office design features including an open loop ground water extraction pump.
Tony Morris, director at Hilson Moran, explaned: "Our building services strategy focused on flexibility, providing a solution to meet individual tenancy's business needs and comfort requirements while delivering outstanding energy performance."
Elsewhere in the capital, Olympic Delivery Authority chairman John Armitt recently noted that office interior space for broadcasters at the London 2012 Games is continuing on schedule.
The steel skeleton of the International Broadcast Centre has now been erected, with the programme on track for completion in time for the opening ceremony.
