Queens Meadow Business Park in Hartlepool is to undergo a large-scale office expansion project in order to provide extended grade A space for local businesses.
The project is being funded by UK Steel Enterprises (UKSE) and will cost £4.7 million and will add a further 46 office interiors, as well as workshop areas.
Simon Hamilton, regional manager of UKSE, said: "The building is due for completion by early summer 2011 and, with both of our centres usually operating at or near capacity, there has already been interest shown in the new space."
Indeed, the park is already home to 25 businesses, but this figure is likely to significantly increase following completion of the expansion works.
Elsewhere, Panalux Worldwide recently announced it is to move into additional office interior space at The Pie Factory at Salford's MediaCity UK.
It made the decision given the up-and-coming status that the north-west has now achieved within the media sector.
