Housing and social care organisation Home Group has announced the opening of a new north-east office at Quorum Business Park.
The company will occupy 11,300 sq ft of grade A office interior space at the site and plans to relocate up to 130 members of staff to the new project in the coming weeks.
Mark Henderson, Home Group chief executive, said: "I'm very excited about this project and delighted to be able to announce these new jobs. Home Group has a proud history in Newcastle - we were established back in 1935 as a part of the government response to the deprivation which prompted the Jarrow march."
Elsewhere in the region, a new office construction project in Leeds city centre was recently described by local planners as "innovative".
Set to add two storeys to a vacant building on Queen Street, councillor Geoff Driver claimed the project has "dynamism" and is a bold and refreshing take on the upgrade of existing office space in the city.
