Rotherham-based Horbury Group has secured a new contract for the development of 190,000 sq ft of grade A office interior space in Manchester.

The company has secured a deal worth in excess of £1 million to help create office space on one of the city's premier office developments - Piccadilly Place.

As part of the £1.2 billion redevelopment of the area, the Piccadilly Place contract is due for completion sometime next year.

Trevor Wragg, managing director of the Horbury Group, said: "The Piccadilly Place development in the city centre is a key project to transforming Manchester and we are thrilled to be involved in such a high-profile project to add to our increasing portfolio of private sector schemes."

Elsewhere in the city, the owners of Didsbury Point office scheme - Liberty Property Trust - recently announced the appointment of two new letting agents at the development to help boost the uptake of office interior space at the site.

P3 Property Consultants and Knight Frank have replaced Jones Lang Lasalle and Edwards & Co as the main agents for the 238,125 sq ft development.
