A new 145,000 sq ft mixed-use development has been earmarked for Ipswich and could provide up to 100,000 sq ft of new office design space for the town, it has been revealed.
The 1.7-acre site in the heart of Ipswich is to become the new home for the project, with the creation of a new modern waterfront district at the forefront of plans for the project.
Ewen Mcleod, an associate director at the developer of the initiative, said: "If you actually walk along, [the area] is busy with restaurants, a new dance academy, a new college and student accommodation. This scheme will expand on that."
Meanwhile, office construction work is getting underway in Doncaster at the new civic offices development.
Mayor Peter Davies attended the ground-breaking ceremony for the project and said that it will hopefully attract new businesses and shoppers to the city centre, providing a significant boost to retail and commerce in the coming years.
