Media producer ITV has announced it is relocating its offices to Salford's MediaCityUK development.
The television producer will move to the new premises in 2012 and is set to build a bespoke production studio for its Coronation Street programme.
Set on a 7.7-acre lot at the site, the centre will be adjacent to the Imperial War Museum North and will provide ITV with the facilities to move the show forward in the future.
Adam Crozier, chief executive of ITV, said: "This continues our long and successful relationship with the region, which has played such a key part in ITV's heritage as a programme-maker."
Elsewhere, a recent report by Lambert Smith Hampton showed that office interior uptake in Greater Manchester reached record levels in 2010.
It revealed that two million sq ft of office interiors were rented during the course of the year - up by 45 per cent from 1.3 million sq ft seen in 2009.
