Up to 5,600 journalists will be housed in London office space at the purpose-built main press centre (MPC) and International Broadcast Centre (IBC) for the upcoming Olympic Games in 2012.
In total, the MPC will measure 300,000 sq ft and the IBC will provide a further 590,000 sq ft - creating a base for up to 20,000 officials, media representatives and workers at the Games.
Olympic Delivery Authority chairman John Armitt said: "The buildings are designed to be converted into business facilities after the Games to serve the community for years to come."
According to the official London Olympics 2012 website, there are now just 766 days until the start of the event.
The Olympic park has been created on 2.5 sq km of land in east London and has transformed the area over the last three years.
Over 2,000 trees have been planted at the site and more than 300,000 wetland plants have been installed to help make the area more appealing.
